Scheibner Centre Moisturiser contains substances that act as humectants (i.e. substances that attract and draw moisture into the skin). This results in significant reduction in wrinkles and fine lines.

Derived from a natural process, the use of lactic acid (alpha hydroxy acid) in low concentrations dissolves the bonds that hold the top dry cell layers in place. Reducing the thickening of this layer enables better absorption of moisture through the epidermis. (Other skin care products with higher concentrations of alpha hydroxy acids have a tendency to dry the top layer producing fine wrinkles due to moisture being drawn from the skin by osmosis. Ironically, in this case, more is not better.)
